Iconic Route 66 Photos Make Great Wall Art
In a culture too focused on what’s “new” the timeless Route 66 is refreshing. It has a colorful nature truly unique to itself. It captures a time in our country that exists nowhere else. The signage is done in a style that immediately identifies itself with the surroundings and the experience of traveling this historic strip of highway.
The El Vado hotel in New Mexico was one of the original hotels and help create the design standard that has continued on down the highway. Marty’s take on this Route 66 photo looks great on a simple white matte with black frame, or try something even more original and Acrylic, mounted under 2mm of acrylic the depth of the photo is intensified for a unique point of view.
The Gold Crown Lanes sign perfectly captures the bowling culture in this country with the zany style of this genre, something that may not exist anywhere else before or since. The muted colors and years of wear only add to the charm of this Route 66 photo.
Anyone who has traveled this highway will immediately recognize the Ding How sign, another distinct classic on “The Mother Road.” Marty’s up close and personal take of this sign gives it a sense of power and majesty.
